In this last episode of "Other Futures" thematic block we want to share our visions and desires for a new university to come. We will talk about speculation, fiction, politics of care and affects, about gender, precarity... but we will also celebrate and close Edumeet 2021 sessions, waiting for a new conference to come.

  • Uriel Fogué - Gabinete de Crisis de Ficciones Políticas
    PHD architect. Co-director of elii architecture office, recognized with several national and international awards. His professional practice extends to the field of research and teaching at ETSAM, UEM and EPFL. Co-director of the Political Fiction Crisis Cabinet. Co-author of the books: What is Home Without a Mother (awarded at the XIII BEAU 2015) and Beyond the Limits.
  • Metodologías afectivas - Cuidarnos y aprender en tiempos de pandemia
    We are a diverse learning community emerging from the course sociology of Knowledge and Science at the Complutense University in Madrid. We aim for a critical, affective and collaborative learning by using the methodology of controversies analysis. We understand controversies in a wide sense that allow to connect us with the subject/objects around us, with what we entangle, re-entangle and disentangle with. “We don’t know how this will end, but we have memes”
  • César Cañadas -
    César is an architect who decided to transform six months of exchange at Tongji University into two intense years dedicated to the management, production and design of raves in the city of Shanghai. He is a professor in the Master of Architectural Communication (MACA) at ETSAM. Previously, he taught at Upro 上海, Roca Gallery Shanghai and HK Shanghai University. Together with Óscar Sánchez, he is co-founder of yyplusplus (, an antidisciplinary creative studio.
  • Erica Bol - Teach the Future
    Teach the Future is a global movement that promotes futures literacy for students and educators, with the aim to equip them to face uncertainty and empower them to envision and create their preferred future. Erica Bol, Changemaker for Foundation Teach the Future. Erica works as a change maker and is passionate about integrating future’s thinking into education because she believes this will help us move towards a better and more sustainable future. She is an expert in foresight and education.
  • Berta Gutiérrez -
    Berta is an architect and researcher who understands technology, art and design as catalysts for new experiences that can help us to foresee alternative narratives of conviviality throughout the current systemic crisis. She has been working in these cross-fields as a consultant, researcher and project leader in institutions such as Medialab-Prado, Matadero Madrid and Polytechnic University of Madrid, and founded the Research unit WonderLAB at Rosan Bosch Studio. Her investigation was part of the Venice Biennale of Architecture (2018) and the Making Futures Bauhaus + (2019) program at the Berlin University of Arts.
  • Mariza Daouti & Natasa Lekkou -
    Mariza Daouti (b. 1991, Athens / Greece) holds a Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and an MA in Architectural History from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. She has worked in architecture practices in Spain and Cyprus, and currently works as a project architect in London. Mariza also worked as the lead editor for Archisearch, and an editor and researcher for Non Architecture. Natasa Lekkou (b. 1991, Athens / Greece) holds a Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and an MA in Architectural Communication from the ETSAM School of Architecture, UPM. She has worked in architecture and cultural practices in Greece and Spain and has been teaching as an invited professor in the MACA Master (ETSAM) since 2018. Natasa is also co-founder of ISSUES! Office for non-linear investigation and currently works as an architect and communicator in Madrid.
